NUVOC renew their rivalry with refurbished Glasgow Mets tomorrow hoping for a winning start to their men’s Scottish Volleyball League campaign.

The Edinburgh side lost to Mets in last season’s Scottish Cup final and went down in a three-setter in last weekend’s John Syer Grand Prix. NUVOC were without three of their starting six but took the match the full distance. It was 10-10 in the deciding set before Mets, who only have three of last season’s squad remaining, won the last five points for victory.

City of Edinburgh, who won both of their matches in the John Syer GP last weekend, face Edinburgh Jets, hoping for a repeat of last weekend’s comfortable win.

In the women’s Premier League, champions City of Edinburgh also host Edinburgh Jets and NUVOC are at home to Aberdonia. The most intriguing clash is elsewhere with QTS Troon entertaining Su Ragazzi.

Su are now guided by former Troon coach Vince Krawczyk, who left Troon at the end of last season questioning the commitment of some of his players.
