The annual East Lothian tennis tournament gets underway tomorrow based at North Berwick with a record entry of over 450 competitors.

Back-up courts at Gullane and Dunbar are required and those spearheading the Capital challenge for the men’s singles title include last year’s runner-up Lloyd Greatorex-Watson, Vincent Hivert and Neil Harden.

St Serfs’ Hannah Watson is expected to figure prominently in the women’s singles.

The 85th instalment of a tournament voted “best in Scoland” two years ago will feature 36 separate events.
