The Edinburgh judoka, who has moved up to Under-100kg in recent months, faces a top-class field which includes world champion Elkhan Mammadov (Azerbaijan).

Eight of Scotland’s 14-strong Commonwealth Games team will be in action including fellow Olympians Chris Sherrington (Over-100kg) and Sarah Clark (Under-63kg).

Coatbridge sisters Kimberley and Louise Renicks (Under-48kg and Under-52kg respectively) will also compete, alongside Stephanie Inglis (Under-57kg), Patrick Dawson (Under-73kg) and Matt Purssey (Under-90kg).
