City of Edinburgh bid to complete the first half of their volleyball league programme unbeaten when they travel to face Aberdonia tomorrow in the women’s SVL Premier.
The champions lost to Su Ragazzi last weekend in the John Syer Grand Prix but were without player-coach Mel Coutts, who returns for the trip to Aberdeen.
Edinburgh face an early start with the match scheduled for 11.30am despite the closure of the Forth Road Bridge but do not anticipate too many problems on court, Aberdonia having lost six out of six in the league so far.
Edinburgh Jets host Su Ragazzi and NUVOC hope to ease any relegation concerns with a win over struggling QTS Troon.
In the men’s SVL Premier, leaders City of Edinburgh have a tough match at third-placed Glasgow Mets who have won their last four matches in the league.
Edinburgh claimed the points in straight sets early in the season but Mets have not lost since and edged City of Glasgow Ragazzi in five sets.
Ragazzi travel to Edinburgh Jets tomorrow and NUVOC seek revenge against last season’s champions South Ayrshire, who beat them earlier in the campaign.
