NUVOC travel to in-form Glasgow Mets in the men’s SVL Premier today expecting to face a different side than they did on the opening day of the season.

The Edinburgh side won that encounter in three tough sets against a team that had been re-cast after their win over NUVOC in last season’s Scottish Cup final.

Mets have turned it around after losing their opening two matches and have now won their last three, including beating champions South Ayrshire and edging City of Glasgow Ragazzi 15-13 in a five-set thriller.

NUVOC returned to winning ways last weekend by beating Edinburgh Jets, who have still to register a league win this season.

It does not get any easier for Jets today as they face league leaders City of Edinburgh at St Augustine’s High.

In the women’s SVL Premier, champions City of Edinburgh also take on Jets looking to make it six wins out of six in the league.

NUVOC, the only team to have taken a set off Edinburgh this season, travel to face winless Aberdonia at Aberdeen Grammar.
