Capital rugby players impressed last night as the Scotland Under-20s and the Scotand Club XV took part in a bounce match.
The under-20s won 30-17 on the back pitches at BT Murrayfield as the respective coaches – Sean Lineen and Phil Smith – prepare for the under-20s Six Nations opener against France on February 7. The Club XV face Ireland the night before.
For the under-20s Edinburgh Rugby duo Jamie Ritchie and Magnus Bradbury showed up well while Currie’s Harvey Elms started and Watsonians’ trio Jake Kerr, Dan Elkington and Ally Miller came off the bench along with Ruaraidh Smith (Currie).
Five Herioters – Keith Buchan, Gregor McNeish, Graham Wilson, Struan Cessford and Stuart Edwards – were involved for the Club XV along with Currie duo Ross Weston and Malcolm Peacock; Boroughmuir’s Iain Moody also played.
