Scotland Sevens man Nyle Godsmark, who used to play for Edinburgh Accies, scored four tries for the Co-Optimists at the GB7s on Saturday in Wales.
However, his great form in Colwyn Bay was not enough to see the Scottish side win the overall event after three legs.
Samurai came out on top overall with the Co-Optimists winning the Plate this week.
The Co-Optimists opened with a 31-5 defeat to Samurai, Watsonians Ewan Miller scoring the try in the loss.
Next up were Irish Wolfhounds and this was much closer with two tries from Godsmark and another from Miller helping them keep tabs on their opponents. However, in the end the Wolfhounds won 22-19.
The final pool game saw the Co-Optimists edge out the Welsh Charitables 24-19.
The Plate semi-final saw the Co-Optimists make light work of Forces Exiles. Watsonians Reiss Cullen and Godsmark were amongst the scorers.
And they made it a double over the Welsh Charitables in the final, winning 31-24 with tries from Gavin Parker, William Wardlaw, Cullen, Callum Anderson and Godsmark.
