Currie head coach Ben Cairns will be hoping his side continue the good form they showed against Blaydon last week when they take on Edinburgh Accies in their final pre-season friendly tomorrow.

Eight days go former Scotland cap Cairns was delighted with the way his players – both old and new – took the game to their English opponents as they swept them aside 38-14.

Tomorrow they travel across town to take on an Edinburgh Accies side who are rebuilding under head coach Phil Leck after relegation from the top flight.

Both Cairns and Leck will be doing some fine tuning in this derby in Stockbridge ahead of their opening league matches next week – Currie at home to Stirling County in the BT Premiership and Accies away to Musselburgh in BT National League One.

Both Heriot’s and Boroughmuir are in action ahead of the BT Charity Shield next week.

Heriot’s face a testing trip to Duffus Park to take on Howe of Fife, while Bruce Aitchison and his Boroughmuir side are on the road to the north of England to take on Tynedale.

Stewart’s Melville will be hosting top flight side Stirling County at Inverleih.

At Myreside, National League One side Watsonians will give home debuts to a number of their new arrivals as they face National League Two Lasswade.
