MURRAYFIELD WANDERERS ran in 11 tries in a comfortable home victory over Hawick Linden in BT East One on Saturday.

The Capital side dominated from the off in this match played in the shadow of the national stadium and came out 65-10 winners.

Peter Walker, Kerr Rutherford and Ross McClaren all helped themselves to two tries apiece while Alistair Goldie, John Lee, Adam Clarke, Adam Macfarlane and Calum Gauld all scored one each.

Murray Hastie kicked four conversions and Gauld one, meaning the team who were relegated from the national leagues in the summer are third in the table after five wins and four defeats to date this term.

North Berwick continue to lead the way in the division after their own weekend win.

They defeated Forrester 62-0 in East Lothian to make it eight wins from eight, Mac Jerome leading the way with three 
tries.

Findlay Graham, Liam West, Robert Ritchie, Grant Spence, Ben Lowe and Liam Mackle and Reece Patterson all helped themselves to tries too.

Linlithgow are fourth after they defeated Dalkeith 21-0 in West Lothian.

Chris Bredin, Ross Martin and Mark Green all scored tries for the home side with Jack Frame adding all three conversions.

Dunbar lost 21-3 at Duns while St Boswells beat Hawick Harlequins.

In BT East Two Penicuik lost their first game of the season, going down 5-0 at Ross High.

Edinburgh Northern and Inverleith both got wins away at Leith and Broughton respectively, while Liberton and Trinity Accies drew 13-13.
