Edinburgh Accies won the Edinburgh Northern Sevens in the sunshine at Inverleith Park on Saturday.
With no Kings of the Sevens tournament on that day both Accies and Watsonians were able to take strong squads to the event and it showed as they made it through to the semi-finals.
In the last four, Accies battled past Currie 27-26, while Watsonians got the better of Leith 40-7.
In the final, Accies raced into a 28-0 lead at half-time. Watsonians fought back after the interval, but it was not enough as the Raeburn Place men won 28-22.
The Inverleith Bowl was won by Lasswade, who got the better of Inverleith in the final, while The Pond Plate was secured by The Crown from Dundee, who saw off Trinity Accies 34-21 in the final.
Meanwhile, Gala YM came out on top at the North Berwick Sevens. The Borderers had a strong team out in East Lothian and had enough pace and power to defeat Peebles in the final.
On the same day, the Steven Sims Cavaliers, including a number of Edinburgh based players, won the St Andrews Sevens.
And on Friday night, charity side The Pigbarians won the Lasswade Sevens, defeating the hosts in the final.
