Heriot’s continued their good form in the abbreviated form of the game when they won the Blyth & Blyth Edinburgh Northern Sevens at Inverleith Park on Saturday.
The Goldenacre club, who reached the final of the Gala Sevens a fortnight ago and pushed Saracens close at Melrose last week, sent a strong squad to the event including the likes of Graham Wilson, Max Learmonth, Colin Goudie and Fraser Brown.
In the final they defeated charity side the Pigbarians, who support the Dreamz4U cause, after a great day of sevens.
The Pigbarians squad included players such as Lasswade duo Gavin Brown and Bernie Hennessey.
Murrayfield Wanderers won the Plate event with the host club picking up the Bowl.
Meanwhile, in East Lothian at the North Berwick Sevens a team of exiled locals came together to claim victory and many Edinburgh-based players were involved in the St Andrews University Sevens in Fife.
