North Berwick bounced back from a defeat the previous week to secure a hard-fought win over Portobello in RBS East One.
On October 12 the East Lothian side lost at home to RHC 19-10, but at the weekend they travelled to Cavalry Park in the Capital and managed to see off Porty 12-3.
Harry Grierson and Adam Macnair scored the tries for NB which, along with one conversion from Grant Craig, was enough to see them home in wet conditions.
The victory leaves North Berwick with five wins from seven and sitting in fourth spot while Porty are eighth.
Preston Lodge remain top of the table having won seven out of seven matches.
They have 34 points from a possible 35 after winning 22-10 at Hawick Linden.
The leaders had to battle back from 10-7 down after 45 minutes, their tries coming from Pete Johnston, Finlay Hughes and two late ones from Bruce Stoddart.
RHC are still second and breathing down PL’s neck after a 27-22 home win over Linlithgow with Dunbar third after seeing off Duns with ease, 66-7, at Hallhill.
Like PL, Dalkeith are still unbeaten and top RBS East Two.
On Saturday they were given a stern examination by Trinity Accies at Bangholm, but came through it 16-9 in the end.
Edinburgh Northern defeated Leith 33-28 in a cracker.
Of the local clubs in RBS East Three, there were wins recorded by RDVC and Liberton over Queensferry and Ross High respectively.
