Former Edinburgh Reivers and Scotland scrum-half Bryan Redpath was today appointed Director of Rugby at English Premiership side, Sale Sharks.
The 60 times capped Redpath previously played for Sale after starting his career with Melrose and most recently serving Gloucester as head coach.
Redpath said: “Seven years away coaching at Gloucester has been great for me and it’s great to come back.”
Sale will be joined by Scotland second row Richie Gray and Redpath said: “For such a young man, he’s grown up pretty quickly over the last year and a half. He’s someone who’ll love playing here. He’ll love the character of the club. It’s not just about your own personal development, it’s enhancing the ‘feelgood factor’ around the club. That’s hugely important for me as well.”
Sale Chief Executive Steve Diamond said: “Bryan became available from Gloucester at the end of last season. As soon as he did, we were keen to talk.”
