Ross Kilgour led the way with two tries as Leith made it two wins from two in BT East Two on Saturday.

In week one, the men from Academy Park had a comfortable victory over Liberton and at the weekend they carried on that good form at Cavalry Park against Portobello.

The visitors came out on top 38-22 in an entertaining encounter with Kilgour’s double being backed up by further tries from Ryan Burgess, Dave Robertson, Ross Marwick and Doug Watters.

The result leaves them second in the fledgling table to Edinburgh Northern who defeated Liberton 35-14.

Penicuik and Inverleith are also unbeaten to date, the former seeing off Broughton 17-12 at the weekend and the latter winning 21-10 at Langholm.

In Tranent, Ross High edged out Trinity Accies 34-32 in an end-to-end encounter.

North Berwick are top of East One after two tries from Ben Inglis saw them on the way to a 24-5 win at Hawick Linden.

Stuart Bell scored two tries as Linlithgow remained unbeaten too, Stuart Cunningham and Jack Frame also scoring in a 25-22 win at Dunbar.

Murrayfield Wanderers got their first victory on the board since relegation, Chris Beattie scoring their first try in a 38-26 home win over Duns.

Dalkeith – with two Robert Dahlstrom tries – defeated Hawick Harlequins 20-13, but Forrester went down heavily at home to St Boswells 42-6.

Lismore won 36-7 at RDVC in East Three, but Queensferry lost 61-5 at Gala YM.
