Edinburgh Rugby today received a boost with BT Sport confirming shirt sponsorship for the new season.
Also benefitting under the same four year deal are Glasgow Warriors
The new sports channels’ logo will be displayed on the front of both teams’ shirts as they compete in the RaboDirect PRO12 and Heineken European Cup.
The sponsorship will see the BT Group and BT Sport promoted at the Murrayfield home of Edinburgh Rugby as well as Glasgow’s Scotstoun Stadium.
Ross Ford, Edinburgh Rugby’s hooker, said: “BT is a high profile, household name and it’s fantastic to be associated with them. The length of the deal shows their long-term commitment.”
Mark Dodson, chief executive of Scottish Rugby, added: “This partnership has been many months in the making and it’s been gratifying to have concluded it ahead of the BT Sport channels launching.”
