SCOTLAND head coach Vern Cotter has handed three players their Six Nations debuts after naming his team to face France in Saturday’s opener in Paris (5.00pm kick-off).
Glasgow duo Finn Russell (stand-off) and Mark Bennett (centre) plus London Irish back row Blair Cowan will play in the competition for the first time when the line up at the Stade France.
Three Edinburgh players are in the starting XV, Tim Visser on the wing along with front-row duo Alasdair Dickinson and Ross Ford.
Edinburgh’s uncapped scrum half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne is handed a place on the bench, as is team-mate Dougie Fife.
Second-row brothers Richie and Jonny Gray will start their fourth consecutive match together.
