MacGillivray reaches last eight in World Masters

The Capital’s Craig MacGillivray stormed into the quarter finals of the IBSF World Snooker Masters Championships in India.

The taxi driver from Granton enjoyed a 4-0 victory over Salim Ali Alsuwaidi (United Arab Emirates) in the last 32, finishing off in style with a break of 83. In the last 16, MacGillivray continued his good form, making runs of 43 and 48 in a comfortable 4-0 victory over England’s Danny Connolly. MacGillivray meets Brazil’s Noel Rodrigues Moreira for a place in the semi-finals.
