Capital cueman Robert Carlisle increased his lead at the top of the Scottish Main Tour rankings last night after a 5-3 victory over Glasgow’s Scott MacFarlane in the final of Main Tour Event 3 at the Locarno Snooker Club.
Carlisle won the opening frame before pinching the second on the black. However, MacFarlane won the next three frames, with breaks of 50 and 60.
The former professional then looked on course to win the sixth frame as well before a bad kick caused him to miss an easy black.
Carlisle took full advantage of his opponent’s misfortune, levelling the match at 3-3 before winning the next two frames to pocket a 5-3 victory and his second Main Tour victory in succession.
