Capital snooker ace Robert Carlisle cruised into the last 32 of the European Championships in Sofia after a 4-1 victory over George Louka of Cyprus.
Carlisle ended the match in fine form with breaks of 58 and 61 in the final two frames.
Earlier, Carlisle made a magnificent break of 141 in his 4-0 victory against Andrey Khudobin, the highest of the tournament so far.
However, a last-frame defeat by England’s Nick Jennings meant that Carlisle narrowly lost out on winning his group, winning four out of five of his matches.
Carlisle was today meeting Ireland’s Josh Boileau, who defeated Edinburgh’s Lee Mein in the World Under-21 championships last month.
Edinburgh’s Ross Vallance lost out 4-3 to home favourite Ivailo Pekov (Bulgaria). Glasgow’s Gary Thomson and Alloa’s Eden Sharav are through to the last-32 stage.
