Bonnyrigg snooker professional Michael Leslie lost 4-3 to David Morris in event 3 of the European Tour Championship in Doncaster. The first two frames were shared before Leslie went in front after a break of 62. A break of 40 by Morris levelled the match at 2-2 before Leslie won the next with a break of 41. However, Morris made runs of 79 and 47 to win the next two frames for a 4-3 victory.

Scott Donaldson came from two frames down to win the next four for a 4-2 victory over Andrew Pagett before losing 4-2 to England’s Rory McLeod. In a disappointing day for the Scots in action, there were also defeats for Graeme Dott, Marcus Campbell and Fraser Patrick.

Musselburgh’s Ross Muir was set to play Chris Wakelin today.
