Edinburgh Monarchs speedway ace Craig Cook was today included in the Great Britain World Cup squad.
The Monarchs No.1, who also races in the top-flight for Manchester’s Belle Vue Aces, is one of ten riders in thes quad which will be captained by current world champion Tai Woffinden.
The World Cup begins later this month where GB will face Australia, USA and one further nation still to be determined at King’s Lynn on July 26.
The winner will join hosts and current champions Poland in the final, with the next two best sides going into the race-off against countries from Event 2 for the last spot in the final.
Cook, who has claimed the wildcard for the British Grand Prix next Saturday, made his debut in the World Cup last year.
GB stalwart Chris Harris joins Ben Barker, Lewis Bridger, Danny King, Simon Stead, Richie Worrall, Richard Lawson and Lewis Kerr in the ten-man squad, but only four will be chosen to compete.
