ENJOY a unique evening of tango at Greyfriar’s Kirk tonight in the company of Mr McFall’s Chamber and three of Europe’s finest tango musicians, Valentina Montoya Martinez, Victor Villena and Cyril Garac.

Mr McFall’s Chamber, a music ensemble which plays a range of music from tango through jazz and rock to contemporary classical, first teamed up with Chilean singer Valentina Montoya Martinez in 1997. It was the start of a thrilling collaboration exploring the intricacy and intrigue of tango music.

Tonight, she will be joined by two of Paris’ finest tango musicians, bandoneón player Victor Villena and violinist Cyril Garac, for a programme of tango instrumentals and songs - including music by Piazzolla and songs of exile by Valentina.

The concert will be preceded by a beginners tango class between 6pm and 7pm. Afterwards, from 9.15pm, those who have brought their dancing shoes will be transported to a sultry Milonga in South America, for some post-concert dancing.

Viva Tango!, Greyfriars Kirk, Greyfriars Place, tonight, 7.45pm, £14, 0131-228 1155
