HELL EVENTS PRESENTS KAROTTE

HELL Events have notched up a solid reputation for throwing underground parties. That reputation is built on the Hell DJs strict music policy - real techno.

The night is bricks and mortar techno and their choice of guest reflects this. Headlining act Karotte, aka Peter Cornley (pictured), is one of Germany’s most experienced deck-hands. He kicked off his career in the late 1980s and had taken the techno scene by storm by 1994. In 2006 he was drafted in to be a resident DJ at super-club Cocoon.

Expect an eclectic selection of electronica with deep pulsating techno vibes.

Cabaret Voltaire, Blair Street, tomorrow, 11pm-3am, £12, 0131-247 4704

XPLICIT 7th BIRTHDAY FEAT. ANDY C & GQ

EDINBURGH’S biggest drum ’n’ bass night has welcomed the Titans of the scene over the last seven years, DJs such as Mark Ronson, Yoda, Fakeblood and Skream. BBC Radio 1 has even broadcast two of their guest sets live over the airwaves – Pendulum and Chase & Status.

Expect birthday bash headliners Andy C and MC GQ to play out epic breakz and trail blazing beatz.

Bongo Club, Holyrood Road, tomorrow, 10.30pm-4am, £12-£13, 0131-558 7604

MUSIKA 5th BIRTHDAY FEAT. CASSY, TIM GREEN & EATS EVERYTHING

MUSIKA celebrates five killer years of clubbing featuring Sven Vath’s Cocoon DJs Cassy (above) and Tim Green.

They are supported by Eats Everything, a Bristol-based producer who recently scooped DJ Magazine’s Break-through Producer of the Year Award, and is hotly tipped to take Ibiza by storm. Expect electrifying performances.

Liquid Room, Victoria Street, Saturday, 9.30pm-3am, £18, 0131-225 2564
