Adoption advice event

ADULTS considering adoption can visit a drop-in session at Prestonpans Library next Thursday as part of National Adoption Week.

Placement managers from East Lothian Council will be attending sessions from 10am to noon and 5pm to 7pm.

Norma Godek, family placement area manager, said: “Adoptive parents come from a variety of backgrounds, so don’t think we’ll turn you down because, for instance, you’re over 40, single, or don’t own your own home.”
