TONIGHT

LIVING WITH MY STALKER

(Channel 4, 10pm)

MANY online daters tell white lies to make themselves sound more attractive, but for trainee doctor Alison Hewitt, her nightmare began when she agreed to meet Al Amin Dhalla, a ‘respectable Canadian businessman’.

At first, their relationship blossomed, until mother grew suspicious. Hiring a private investigator she discovered Dhalla’s entire life story was a lie.

After the couple broke up, Dhalla stopped at nothing to get Alison back, including poison pen letters, arson, building a torture chamber and eventually hiring a hitman. Five police forces couldn’t keep up with Dhalla. This documentary hears from Alison, her family, and the officers involved...

TOMORROW

WHEN ROBBIE MET JAMES

(Sky 1, 9pm)

ROBBIE Williams hit the headlines recently when Radio 1 declined to play his latest single Candy, deciding he was a little long in the tooth for their target audience. However, while he may not quite qualify as a teen pin-up these days, he’s still one of Britain’s biggest pop stars, hence Sky1 devoting 90 minutes to this special programme, which sees him chatting with his old mate James Corden.

SATURDAY

CSI: MIAMI

(Five, 9.45pm)

BOW your head in respect as Horatio Caine makes his final appearance in CSI: Miami. Yes, the star of Jerry Bruckheimer’s smash procedural drama will be swaggering for the last time tonight as the show comes to an end after a decade of crime-busting. And if you’re going to bring a series to a close, it doesn’t hurt to have one of Hollywood’s favourite rent-a-baddies, Malcolm McDowell on board.

SUNDAY

PEEP SHOW

(Channel 4, 10pm)

Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb), the mismatched friends at the heart of Peep Show, pictured above, return for an eighth series.

The last run ended with Mark asking his girlfriend and apparent soul-mate Dobby (Issie Sutie) to move in with him, which spelled the potential end of the ‘El Dude brothers’. As series eight begins, it turns out that, true to form, Jeremy still hasn’t got round to moving out. But when Mark then gets a new job and Jeremy begins therapy, it looks like they may be on the road to sorting their lives out... or are they?

MONDAY

CURIOUS CASE OF THE CLARK BROTHERS (Channel 4, 9pm)

THIS moving documentary outlines the plight of Matthew (39), and Michael (42). They suffer from an age-defying disease that’s made them regress to childhood. Devastating as it is, the two brothers were fine until their late thirties. What they didn’t realise was they had a little-known condition called leukodystrophy, which causes a progressive loss of every neurological function - speech, memory, movement, sight, hearing, touch, eating and swallowing - meaning they need round-the-clock care.

TUESDAY

FRESH MEAT

(Channel 4, 10pm)

PEEP Show creators Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain’s fabulous university-set sitcom reaches the end of its second run, and Josie’s secret is out. Meanwhile, the rest of the housemates face some big decisions too

WEDNESDAY

GOODNIGHT BRITAIN

(BBC One, 9pm)

HOSTED by Sian Williams, the first in this series meets five people with a variety of conditions, ranging from snoring, to night terrors. Then there’s the insomniac who seems to have given up any hope of getting any shut-eye, and spends the night baking instead.

To get to the bottom of their nocturnal behaviour, they will be asked to spend a night at the Goodnight Britain Sleep House, where every toss, turn and snuffle is monitored using state-of-the-art equipment.
