Hundreds of Scott Hutchison fans post support to Frightened Rabbit

Hundreds of fans have sent messages of support to missing Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, reported missing since Tuesday night.

The band’s Facebook page is flooded with an outpouring of love from fans around the world concerned for Scott who was last seen in South Queensferry.

Many fans wrote messages telling Scott how Frightened Rabbit’s music helped them through difficult times.

Rachel from Scotland said, “I went to the Quay where Scott was playing to try and help get over the death of my son who was found in January after being missing for six weeks because he loved music.”

One fan said, “’I wish I was sober’ came out when I was at the height of my drinking problem and it was one of the first things that made me realise I had a serious problem. Your music helped me and many other people through bad situations..”

Ashley from Georgia, USA said, “Scott please be safe. You have saved my life more times than I can even count. You are so gracious and humble. We all love you.”

John from Cotherstone, England said, “Your songs greeted my first born into the world, united me and my friends together for great times and comforted me in the bad.”

Melinda from Chicago, USA said, “On the off chance you read this , Midnight Organ Fight was one of the few things that made me feel less alone after losign someone to suicide. Your words, your music, your life matter more than you’ll ever know.”

A fan in Australia said, “Your music and lyrics really touch my soul and help me when I feel broken, sometimes feeling melancholy is okay.”

Frightened Rabbit, which features Hutchison alongside his brother Grant Hutchison, formed in 2003 and have released five studio albums, most recently 2016’s Painting of a Panic Attack.

Frightened Rabbit also recently announced a tour to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the band’s 2008 album The Midnight Organ Fight.

Inspector Graeme Dignan of Police Scotland said: “We are keen to locate Scott as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well and would urge anyone who can assist with our ongoing inquiries to come forward.

“If you believe you have seen him since the early hours of Wednesday morning or know where he currently is, then please contact police immediately.

“I’d also urge Scott to get in touch with family, friends or with police, to let us know he is alright.”

CCTV shows Scott at the Dakota Hotel, where he visited before he disappeared. He is described as white, 6ft tall with a stocky build, dark hair and a thick beard.

He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, navy blue hooded jacket, grey or khaki trousers and white trainers.
