HAVE you ever been grabbed by a walrus? Pawed by a polar bear then? Maybe you’ve been caressed by a whale. No? Doug Allan has.

From being dragged under water by a hungry walrus to being poked by a polar bear, his tales never fail to entertain.

His 2012 speaking tour brings him to the Capital to share enthralling personal recollections from his travels around the globe as one of the world’s leading wildlife cameramen.

“What’s great about talking face to face is that it’s my chance to bring people right in behind the scenes. It’s like live TV only better,” says the cameraman who is acclaimed for his work on BBC series such as Human Planet, Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet and Ocean Giants.

Needless to say, Allan’s talk will be illustrated with mesmerising footage and incredible photographs.
