Hareford bound

LIVINGSTON Players introduce audiences at The Brian Duguid Auditorium to a host of hilarious characters in their latest foot-tapping production, Me And My Girl.

With old favourites such as Leaning On A Lamppost, The Sun Has Got His Hat On and the show stopping Lambeth Walk, the musical tells the story of Cockney costermonger Bill Snibson who is named the long-lost Earl of Hareford. But can he settle with his new found family of nobles?

“In recent years we have subjected our audiences to all kinds of horrible events, throat-slitting on an industrial scale in 2011’s Sweeney Todd, mass murder in Jack the Ripper in 2005 and guillotining in The Scarlet Pimpernel a year later,” says the company’s Alex Kemp.

“We thought we’d give our audiences some light relief this year, so chose this happy ever after musical in which no one dies.”

Me And My Girl, The Brian Duguid Auditorium, Howden Park Centre, Livingston, until Saturday, 7.30pm, £12, [email protected]
