Always cheerful he does, however, have one problematic character trait... his best friend is a six foot-tall, invisible white rabbit called Harvey. Which is why his sister is determined to have him committed.

Leitheatre present Mary Coyle Chase’s timeless comedy at the Church Hill Theatre, next week.

A favourite since it premiered on Broadway in 1944, Harvey is today best known for the film adaptation with James Stewart.

Leitheatre’s production runs from next Wednesday to Friday at 7.30pm, with just a matinee on the Saturday.

“It’s an alternative afternoon’s entertainment to the Hearts v Hibs Scottish Cup Final,” says a spokesman for the company, promising, “the score will be announced at the end of the performance.”
