Travel back to the sensational 70s with Craft

SET in Penicuik in the 1970s, Derek Douglas’ semi-autobiographical musical, which checks in at the Church Hill Theatre next week, tells the story of The Narrator, from age 11 into his teens.

Against a backdrop of classic pop tracks of the era - from Mungo Jerry to Abba, The Sex Pistols to The Village People - the fast flowing comedy unfolds.

They say your school days are the best of your life, but are they? Join The Narrator and his friends as they tackle the complex and comical issues of growing up. Meet the school Lothario who has a very different take of Donny Osmond’s Puppy Love. Later, at the school disco, affairs of the heart come to a head. Then there’s the drama of the school Nativity, not to mention secret smoking sessions as the youngsters deal with death, anger, parents and peers.
