Traverse has an Arabic lunch

A PLAY, A Pie And A Pint returns to the Traverse this week, with the first of six lunchtime plays written by artists living through turbulent political times in Lebanon, Morocco and Syria.

Until Saturday, you can see Could You Please Look Into The Camera (Damascus), by Mohammad Al Attar.

A young woman is recording the testimonies of some fellow Syrians who were detained during the current uprising of the country.

Next week’s play - the second in the season - is Dear Glasgow, which has been written by seven established authors from cities around the Arab world. Each has written a letter as a response to current events in their countries. The essays will be read by some of Scotland’s own established writers.
