CrossFit Murrayfield vowing to keep new and existing customers physically and mentally fit this lockdown

A gym in west Edinburgh has vowed to keep new and existing members fit throughout the lockdown by offering a full range of services to clients.

CrossFit Murrayfield will be providing everything from zoom classes to outdoor personal training (PT) as well as nutrition challenges for all abilities and skill sets.

John Keenan, a staff member at the gym, said: “We are especially excited about the nutrition challenge as it allows people from a variety of fitness backgrounds to receive one to one advice from professional nutritionists. We had run something similar during the first lockdown and our clients absolutely loved it.”The gym will also run special classes for things like skipping, core strength and mobility as well as many others.They are offering a 15 per cent discount for anyone wishing to have a one to one PT sessions over zoom or outdoors per government guidelines.Staff at the gym have been frustrated with the way that the fitness industry has been treated during the pandemic, citing the benefits of staying fit both physically and mentally during a pandemic.

William Graham, owner of CrossFit Murrayfield, said: “At CrossFit Murrayfield we strive not only for our members physical health but mental health.

“We will fight to keep our members sanity. Keeping them busy during these adverse times is one of our goals, so we keep them engaged by offering four zoom classes a day, as well as CrossFit game style challenges.

“We will fight tooth and nail for our members and staff.”
