While 2020 has been an unpredictable and damaging year for many businesses, those based online and catering to home deliveries have bucked the downward trend. Edinburgh-based craft beer company Flavourly is one such example, with its online craft beer distribution service expecting sales to grow to £10million this year.

Flavourly saw a 392% increase in April for sales on the previous year, as customers sought out alternative ways to enjoy a drink at home with pubs and bars closed for business.

By partnering up with independent breweries around the UK and securing a range of exclusive and premium IPAs, Pale Ales, Lagers and more, Flavourly helped to keep beer fans in good spirits - also offering nuanced recommendations and their craft beer expertise to its growing customer base.

Flavourly’s success over recent months has allowed them to secure a new warehouse site at Glasgow Airport Business Park to enhance and upscale their operations - including partnering with DPD to provide guaranteed delivery slots for consumers.

Assean Sheikh, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Flavourly, said:

“When times are tough - and I can’t think of tougher times - we all need to feel like we can still treat ourselves. The fact that we deliver premium craft beers but at supermarket prices has meant that we have provided that feeling of treating yourself while still watching the pennies.”
