Coronavirus: 55 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in NHS Lothian

It brings the total number of cases in the region to 1,785.

There are now 1,785 positive cases of coronavirus in NHS Lothian, according to new data from the Scottish Government.

The figures, published this afternoon, showed an increase in positive cases in the health board of 55.

It comes as the government confirmed the national figure stood at 10,324 confirmed cases.

It brings the total number of cases in the region to 1,785.

301 of those people confirmed to have the virus are in NHS Lothian hospitals - an increase of 14 since the same time yesterday (Saturday, 25 April).

Of those 301 patients, 24 are being treated in the region’s intensive care units.
