Coronavirus in the Lothians: 53 new Covid-19 cases, Scottish Government confirms

There have been 53 new confirmed cases of coronavirus identified in the NHS Lothian region, according to new figures published by the Scottish Government this afternoon.
The number is 27 fewer than the 80 reported on Saturday, and brings the total number of cases identified in the Lothian health board area to 3,914.

Hide AdThe figures also showed that there are five people being treated for the virus in the region’s hospitals - the same number as yesterday.
It is not known how many of them are in intensive care.
The total number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Scotland since the start of the pandemic now stands at 24,371.
