Coronavirus in Scotland: 160 new cases in the Lothians as Scotland records six deaths

A total of 160 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the latest government data.

The news comes as six new deaths and 1,009 cases have been confirmed from health boards across the country.

So far, 432 people are in hospital with Covid-19, according to the latest statistics which were released by the Scottish Government on Saturday, 10 October.

The figures also show 34 patients with the virus are being treated in intensive care to date.

During the week ending October 10, 6,591 out of 47,820 people newly tested were positive.
