Coronavirus in Scotland: Covid-19 case confirmed at Edinburgh secondary school
One of the UK’s oldest girls boarding schools, The Mary Erskine School in Ravelston, Edinburgh remains open to staff and pupils but confirmed earlier today that they did have a single positive case of Covid-19.
Linda Moule, Principal of Erskine Stewart’s Melville School, said: “There was a confirmed case of Covid-19 at The Mary Erskine School. We worked closely with NHS Lothian Health Protection Team and followed national guidance.

Now over a dozen Edinburgh and Lothian schools have confirmed cases of Covid-19, including Portobello High School and Gracemount High School.
Braidburn Primary School and Nursery announced last week that they were closing amid a coronavirus outbreak with at least four confirmed cases.
