So far the 08:07 from Manchester Airport to Edinburgh has been scrapped, as has the 05:57 Carlisle to Edinburgh - while the 06:13 Edinburgh to Manchester Airport will be started from Carlisle.

"Due to the ongoing Corona virus outbreak, a number of our personnel have been unable to attend work," reads a TransPennine Express statement.

"Unfortunately, this is likely to increase as the week progresses.

"It is anticipated that an increasing number of our services may be altered, delayed or cancelled for all or part of their journey as more of our colleagues are affected.

"We are very sorry for the impact these alterations will have on your journey and the inconvenience it will cause."
