Edinburgh reopening: Pictures show customers heading to pubs, gyms and shops as restrictions ease

Edinburgh has come alive after months of a sleepy lockdown as pubs, shops and gyms reopen across the city.

Today, Monday 26 April, is a key landmark in Scotland’s routemap out of lockdown as businesses are able to welcome back customers for the first time in months.

From revellers enjoying a pint at a pub to Alba Party leader Alex Salmond throwing a punch in a boxing gym, here are some pictures showing scenes in the Capital as people enjoy a newfound sense of freedom.
