East Lothian town delighted as mysterious caped crusader races through streets to cheer up locals

Locals in the seaside town of Prestonpans came out of their houses on Thursday evening to see a runner dressed as Batman run down their streets, waving merrily.

Joining the many local heroes doing their best to raise spirits during this time of lockdown and social distancing, Batman, though no one seems sure of his identity.

Michelle Lewis, resident of the East Lothian town, snapped a quick photo of the mystery man.

She said: “Honestly he really made my evening. Kids were standing at their doors waving - it was lovely. Such community spirit”
