Week of activities

EDINBURGH City Libraries has a series of events to highlight Dyslexia Awareness Week from Monday, October 31 to Saturday, November 5.

It includes fencing demonstrations by Keith Cook, rapping workshops, help for job seekers and the launch of a new book created by awareness charity Dyslexia Scotland called Dyslexia and Us, featuring personal stories about dyslexia with proceeds from sales going to the organisation.

Cathy Magee, chief executive of Dyslexia Scotland, says: “We are delighted with the diverse range of activities and events that are planned for this year’s Dyslexia Awareness Week. I would encourage anyone with an interest in dyslexia – whether personally affected by dyslexia or not – to check out the programme.”

Events take place at libraries around Edinburgh. For further details, go to Edinburgh City Council library website, http://talesofonecity.wordpress.com.
