Nearly two decades after The Pink ceased publication in Edinburgh, the paper is being brought back in your Saturday Evening News as a football nostalgia pull-out.

The first of these will be available tomorrow and recall memorable European nights for Hearts and Hibs in the last decade.

These were the reactions of our readers:

@keir_wee: "Magic missed the pink reading it on way back from the game our sitting in the pub and the paperboy came in & sold it."

Jackie Breslin: "A must for the footie, also remember the Green Dispatch which came out earlier the same day, great coverage of school football."

@Jamiebrodie7: "Can’t remember much with results etc in it. Will it cover the championship games? Asking for a friend(s)!"

Steven Oliver: "Not just sent out by van - they were also delivered by bus as a load of Pinks would be sent up to St Andrew Square bus station around 6pm to put on to buses heading for the Borders."

@AndyM1874: "Off the bus at the Silver Wing, waited at RS McColls on Calder road for the pink to arrive so you could read about the game you had just seen at Tynecastle. Papers were delivered about 1 hour 20 minutes after the final whistle. Incredible logistics for the time."

David Pratt: "My first ever paid job was calling in a report from a rugby match for a reporter. Always remember 4 calls. Teams, 1st half report, 1/2 way through 2nd half then final score. Great money too for a 10 year old."

@heartsshirts: "Regularly sent to queue up with a host of ancient guys (probably me age now) until the Pink was delivered to the Newsagent."

William Henderson: "Used to be the only way to find out scores if you were at a game. Had to run round the shop to collect one. Good times."

@roscoemacphers1: "Had it posted to Australia, loved waiting for it after games at ER. Always an excuse to have another pint waiting for it."

Cecelia Spence: "Brings back memories, my Dad and Grandfather had to have the pink news on a Saturday night. Wasn’t a happy house if they didn’t get one each."

@paulpkenny: "Stood outside the local shop when I was wee to collect this for my dad every Saturday......#Goodtimes"
