How do I take part in the challenge?

Unlike other Instagram challenges, you don’t need to be tagged or nominated by anyone to take part.

Simply download the Instagram story template and fill out the challenge each day.

You don’t have to start at the beginning of a month, you just have to fill it out for the 30 days - however if you wanted to, April has 30 days which would fill out the challenge perfectly.

You can find the template by searching #30DaySongChallenge on Instagram.

How do I add a song to my Instagram story?

As to be expected with a music challenge, taking part in the 30 day challenge means adding music to your Instagram story.

First, add a picture to your story - most people use the 30 Day Song Challenge template - and then hit the ‘sticker’ button up the top of the screen (it looks like a square with a smiley face and the lower right corner folded up).

From there you should see an option that says ‘Music’.

Now you can choose whatever song you want by searching for it.

Once you’ve found the song you want, you can then also customise how long the clip lasts (up to 15 seconds) and you can select which portion of the song you want to play by dragging the bar at the bottom of the screen.

You can also choose if you want the lyrics to come up on screen, or if you’d rather have a small thumbnail of the album artwork, showcasing the name of the song and the artist.
