Edinburgh Playhouse announces partnership and competition with popular steakhouse Hawksmoor
Edinburgh Playhouse has announced a partnership with 'foodie friends' Hawksmoor, and there's a fab prize up for grabs too.
The Playhouse is just a short walk from the steakhouse, which opened its first Scottish restaurant in Edinburgh in July 2018. The collaboration highlights the pre-theatre menu available as well as the quality of produce used in the restaurant.
To celebrate this partnership, the Playhouse is offering one lucky winner the chance to win a meal for two with wine at Hawksmoor.
Posting on their Facebook page, the team at the Playhouse said: "We’re delighted to announce a tasty new partnership with our foodie friends Hawksmoor Edinburgh...and a tasty competition to pair with it!
"Just a short walk from the Playhouse (just off St. Andrew Square in the beautiful former National Bank of Scotland!) Hawksmoor Edinburgh draws on the amazing produce that Scotland has to offer 🏴
"Featuring seafood from around the Scottish coast and beef from grass-fed native breed cattle from both sides of the border, Hawksmoor’s pre-theatre menu, offering 2 courses for £22 or 3 courses for £25, is available: Monday-Saturday 12pm-3pm & 5pm-6.30pm, and Sunday 12pm-4pm & 5pm-6.30pm.
"So, for a chance to win a meal for two (with wine!), share who you'd take with in the comments! 🍽️🍽️🍷🍷”
The competition ends at 12pm on Tuesday 4 February, so be quick!
Hawksmoor is the brainchild of childhood friends, Will Beckett and Huw Gott and the Edinburgh steakhouse features some of the amazing produce this country has to offer, such as seafood from around the Scottish coast and beef from grass-fed native breed cattle from both sides of the border.
Dishes include hillside hogget chops from a semi-wild flock the team found whilst visiting a Highland cattle farmer on the Isle of Mull, Peterhead cod, cockles and seaweed butter and Langoustine scampi.
