Forget wine and cheese: a beer and cheese tasting night is coming to Edinburgh

Treat a beer loving friend to a cheese pairing with a difference at a special event just announced by Edinburgh's DoubleTree by Hilton.

The beer and cheese tasting will take place in January.

Cheese and wine has always been known as a winning combination but if you prefer grain to grape then this beer and cheese event will be right up your street.

Connoisseurs of perfect pints and dairy delights can look forward to a hosted tasting night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre in January – making tickets an ideal festive gift for foodie friends and family.

Founder of Beers without Beards and organiser of Women in Beer (WIB) Fest, Amélie Tassin will lead the evening, taking guests on a tasting journey with five different beers all accompanied with an ideal cheese.

Drinks during the tasting will be served in thirds of a pint measures but guests can top up on their favourite as all five beers will be stocked behind the bar before, during and after the event.

The Beer and Cheese Pairing takes place on Saturday 25 January from 7-10pm at Monboddo bar and restaurant, located within DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre.

Tickets cost £25 plus £1.64 booking fee and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Please note this event is strictly over 18’s only however guests can bring their best four-legged canine companion as dogs are welcome in Monboddo.
