Edinburgh to host coffee festival

CAFES across the Capital are to help host a major UK coffee festival next week.

As well as celebrating Edinburgh’s thriving coffee scene, UK Coffee Week will aim to raise money for some of the poorest people in the world.

Members of the city’s Disloyal Seven coffee shop scheme are gearing up to celebrate the week, offering attendees a guided tour, a coffee at each of the stops and entry to an evening of live music, food and drinks.

Cafes across the Capital are also getting involved with the fundraising, with the likes of Filament Coffee and Century General Store committing to donate a percentage of their sales to Project Waterfall.

Project Waterfall is a charity that works to deliver clean drinking water and sanitation to coffee-growing communities across the globe. UK Coffee Week runs from Monday.
