Award-winning Edinburgh bars offer free cocktail delivery around the UK

Mothership, from the founders of Bramble, have also teamed up with other local producers to deliver quality drinks

Cocktail enthusiasts are not having to miss out even while they are at home

An online drinks retailer set up by the founders of Edinburgh’s award-winning cocktail bar Bramble, has announced that it will start stocking products from other, local producers with the incentive of free shipping on all purchases to the UK mainland until further notice.

Bramble and its sister bars, Lucky Liquor Co. and the Last Word Saloon are currently closed following government guidance throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but have ensured that cocktail enthusiasts are not missing out.

Mothership is the bar’s very own cocktail delivery service and is delivering favourites straight to people’s doors via online delivery.

“This is a really tough time for hospitality,” said co-founder Jason Scott, “but we’re fortunate that we have an avenue where we can still do what we’re best at - getting great drinks into people’s hands to help them enjoy themselves.

“It might not be much, but hopefully it’s something that can help bring a little joy and every sale through Mothership helps us for the future when we can reopen the bars.

“We’ve always had a strong DIY ethic when it came to making ingredients for the bars, so it seemed logical to branch out into making things in a more formal way.

“We’ve had the web shop since 2017 but it’s been a bit of a background presence and I guess that if the cloud is the bars being closed, the silver lining is the opportunity to shine a light on what we do at Mothership.”

The Mothership online range includes SeaWolf Rum - the first premium white rum distilled in Scotland, Cross Brew coffee liqueur - a coffee liqueur with a distinctly Scottish spirit, Porter’s Modern Classic and Tropical Old Tom gins - cold distilled for a light and natural flavour and Bræmble Gin Liqueur - an alliance of rich blackberry and London dry gin.

It also includes bottled cocktails ready to drink from the fridge at home, including their iconic cask-aged Affinity cocktail, the canned Hippy Fizz cocktail from Porter’s gin, and our Six Cylinder cocktail as featured on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

Whiskies including unique single cask bottlings from the Bramble Whisky Co. and Glasshouse and Lucky Liqueurs which are flavours as used at Lucky Liquor Co. including kümmel, orange, tonka bean and chuckleberry, amongst others.
