Craft beer festival to take place at Edinburgh Corn Exchange this weekend cancelled
The Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival (ECBF20) was originally meant to take place in July but had been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers We Are Beer have now announced that this year’s planned festival will now not take place, but will return to the original dates in July 2021.

“Policy changes and news in the past 48 hours has meant we cannot proceed.
"The City of Edinburgh Council made the announcement to not allow events that encourage mass gatherings. This has come as quite a shock to us, and out of the blue after events were a key part of the roadmap out of COVID.
"The Deputy First Minister and National Clinical Director have both stated the likely occurrence of further restrictions and lockdown during the half term period, which begins as our festival does.

The ECBF will return on 16 and 17 July 2021 with ‘more breweries, more food, more people and more space’.
Tickets purchased for this year remain valid for 2021 and 2022 but those who will be unable to make the dates have been asked to contact the organisers directly at [email protected].
