Having spent the last 17 or so years delighting Edinburgh locals with European and Asian-influenced dishes, First Coast has embraced the challenge of keeping customers interested by taking their innovative cuisine one step further – presenting a brand new set menu, which they hope to be able to change and update on a weekly basis going forward, offering two courses for £20 and three courses for £30.

On their latest menu, diners can choose from starters including salt cod fritters served with harissa and tabouleh, haggis, neeps and creamy mash or korean rice cakes. Main courses include classic dishes such as Scottish Aberdeen angus sirloin steak served with chips and a tomato and red onion salad and, for vegetarians, beetroot curry served with pickled chillies, cardamom & pandan pilaf.

Desserts on offer include affogato complete with homemade ice cream, jam roly poly served with custard and chocolate marquise served with roasted banana ice cream and lime caramel.

To meet demand for customers looking to enjoy First Coast’s bold dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, the restaurant is also presenting First Coast at Home – delivering to Edinburgh customers located in EH1 to EH30 postcodes, offering collection to those outwith these areas.

This weekend’s three course menu features venison meatballs for start, followed by bergen seafood chowder. The vegetarian First Coast at Home menu sees a starter of aubergine zaalouk served with yoghurt and flatbread paired with a main course of roast cauliflower & almond biryani with zhoug. Poached pear and milk pudding is served for dessert, with the three courses priced at £20 per person in total.

First Coast has reopened at reduced capacity in keeping with Tier 3 restrictions and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 12-6pm at 97-101 Dalry Road, Edinburgh EH11 2AB.
