At the beginning of the lockdown, Pizza Geeks launched ‘Pizza for the People’, a donation service in which people can pay £4 online to donate one pizza to someone in need of a meal, but have now extended the service to deliver to frontline workers in the NHS.

Their Pizza for the People drops occur on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and they distribute around 150 pizzas per day.

Patrick Ward from Pizza Geeks said: “We have had a great response so far and it really helps us get the pizzas to those who need and deserve them.”

Those wishing to donate a pizza can do so by visiting the Pizza Geeks website.

The restaurant are also calling upon charities and groups working with vulnerable people in Edinburgh to get in touch with them to receive food from the Pizza for the People campaign.
